Together with PhD researcher  Mélissa Gagnière and senior lecturer Timo Vuorisalo, this project, that was recently funded by the Turku Urban Research Programme, we will investigate citizens’ attitudes towards and experiences with urban carnivores such as foxes, badgers and raccoon dogs. In addition, we will assess how citizens feel about urban green spaces and forests and how urban carnivore behaviour changes along a rural-urban gradient. In addition, this project will include a very exciting outreach part for which we will work with Iida Vanttaja and Sirpa Järvenpää, two incredibly talented artists.
